As the Marketing Designer at Emme, I get to use my creativity and technical skills to design many of the visuals associated with the brand. Beyond this, I also get to learn and educate others about health and wellness. My favorite part of this job is being able to share knowledge, help people to understand their bodies, and to empower women to be their best selves!
While working at Emme, I’ve learned a lot about the need for funding and research in women’s health. It’s shocking when you realize that despite progress, the lack of inclusion of women in health research has greatly compromised the quality of health information out there for people with ovaries. As I continue to dive deeper into this research, I see the world differently and get more and more motivated to make a change!
I would say, share Emme with everyone! Get the word out there! Tell all your friends and family about this game-changing system. When Emme can help people to be healthy and educated, everyone benefits.
If I could only have three apps on my smartphone, I would choose:
After a busy day, I almost always take my pup on a walk. Sitting at a desk all day is somehow exhausting. Getting your blood moving paired with some fresh air is my ultimate reset button.
I have a few daily practices to keep myself physically healthy. On a daily basis, I keep myself hydrated (sometimes I track my water intake) and I am intentional about the foods I consume — every day I try to eat a balanced vegetarian diet. During the summer, I use hiking as a way to get exercise. Living in Washington State, there are tons of breathtaking day hikes that help with my physical and mental health.
I fold origami paper cranes almost daily! When I was a little girl, my Grandmother taught me how to do origami. It took us 15 years to fold 1000 origami paper cranes together. In the Japanese culture, folding 1000 paper cranes means you will be granted a wish or you will have eternal good luck and happiness.
This last year, I opened my own business/private tattoo studio in Ballard, Seattle! I have been a licensed hand-poked tattoo artist for three years now and this last year I decided to open up a studio. It's been quite the journey and I can’t wait to see how it evolves!
